Applying Lessons Learned

After taking a look at the AEM Quality Indicators Framework in the case study and what caused it to succeed, now it’s time to think about how those lessons could be applied in your school or district. Take some time to consider the current quality assurance processes you have in place and see if there are any ways that those practices could be improved.

  • Are there clear standards or requirements in place for ensuring quality in how your district creates alternative education materials?
  • Are stakeholders, such as learners and faculty/staff, involved in developing and implementing AEM QA practices?
  • Is there practical training and support for faculty and staff to ensure they can effectively implement AEM QA practices?
  • Are there any barriers or challenges to implementing effective QA practices in your district?

Use your answers to these questions to identify areas where improvements can be made in your district QA practices. Then, consider what steps you can take to ensure the success of the AEM Quality Indicators framework in your district.

This is an optional activity and your submission can be any length or file format (including a video).  This activity is not viewable by other learners.
