In the course, you will follow the following steps:

Part 1: Learn about the Quality Assurance and the Alternative Educational Materials Framework

Part 2: Analyze the three communication methods to help inspire buy-on for the Alternative Educational Materials Framework

Part 3: Write an email to district administrators and peers advocating for the Alternative Educational Materials Framework being used to hold everyone accountable to quality accommodations.

Part 4: Assessment(s): Write your emails and receive Peer Support Feedback in our SLACK (select the word SLACK will to go to our group).

Course Objectives

CLO1: I can use the Top 7 Coaching questions from ‘Coaching Habit” to inspire
peers on the importance of building a quality assurance matrix for creating
alternative educational materials

CLO2: I can use relationship and persuasive styles of communication to inspire
peers and stakeholders into adopting a Quality Indicator for AEM Matrix for my
building

Course Outcomes

CLOC1: I can write an email to district stakeholders using persuasive and relationship language that inspires them into action of using the Quality Indicators of Alternative Educational Materials

CLOC2: I can write an email to peers using persuasive and relationship language that inspires them to advocate for the Quality Indicators of Alternative Educational Materials to the administration.

Unit Objectives

ULO 1: I can write an email that lays out the current problem in creating
accessible materials promptly that also inspire and invites
what is possible for administration leaders(Clo 1)

ULO 2: I can ask open-ended questions to the leader to help us both
understand what is getting in the way of implementing a quality
assurance matrix (CLO 2)


ULO 3: I facilitate an understanding of considering the mandates of IDEA in
all parts of the education on alternative education materials
